The Las Delicias Estate has been in the Menendez family since 1946. It is located in the heart of the golden coffee belt of El Salvador, the Apeneca – Ilamatepec mountain range. A combination of fertile volcanic soil, microclimate, and uppermost elevations over 2,365 metres above sea level provide the best conditions to grow coffees with intense flavours and aromas. We roast this coffee as a full medium to just before the second development, which produces a sweet vanilla cup and a soft chocolatey caramel flavor. It has a full body with overtones of raisins and fruit. There is a citric like acidity with a milk chocolatey sweetness and a lengthy aftertaste. An enjoyable coffee with a smooth finish that is also certified Rainforest Alliance. Winner of a one star gold Great Taste Award 2011.
