Grown on the slopes of the Mauna Loa Volcano in ideal growing conditions, the cultivated trees are planted in holes chopped out of the volcano rock and nurtured with soil from other parts of the island. All this labour produces a unique coffee, very rich and full bodied with a slight sweetness.  ‘Extra Fancy’ denotes the grading of the coffee, the highest grading given to Kona coffee. U.S. minimum wage laws ensure the farmers receive a fair price for their crop.
