Ceylon

Teas from Sri Lanka are known by the old colonial name of ‘Ceylon’ and are descended from the early Assam plants that were discovered growing wild in the 1830s. Although they do not have the same power and astringency as the Assams, they do have a fuller flavour and colour. Also traditionally another ingredient in the classic English breakfast blends. Perfect for easy all day drinking and available in two leaf sizes:

Ceylon Broken Orange Pekoe

Ceylon BOP
Due to the slow growth of the tea plant at a very high altitude this broken leaf tea has a full flavour and aroma, with a hint of citrus and a touch of the malty flavours that are so prominent in the Assam teas.
