Karst Organics

Stuart and Kar-Yee founded Karst Organics in 2018 in order to bring the wonderful coffee of Timor-Leste to the rest of the world. They spend 6 months of the year in Timor-Leste and the entirety of the harvest in the mountains of Letefoho, working alongside their partner farmers across 144 households. Working in direct partnership with producers within their coffee forests and households has helped them to organically foster a mutual trust and respect for one another. They overcome challenges together and respond to needs as they arise, offering support where necessary. To date, this has included direct investment into the infrastructure at farm level and training opportunities focussing on processing speciality coffee as well as giving an extra pair of hands to lift, carry, pick, sort, pulp, wash and dry coffee when needed. As both importer and exporter, they are able to ensure complete transparency throughout the supply chain and are always delighted to connect partner roasters to partner farmers where possible.
