Brazil Agua Santa

Paulo Ribeiro Maciel is a second generation coffee farmer who took over the Agua Santa farm in 1994. Agua Santa means ‘Holy Water’ in Portuguese and the farm has a natural ‘terroir’ (soil) which is ideally suited to the production of specialist coffee varietals. We buy this coffee direct from Paulo via his nephew Callum who lives in the UK which means that the workers at the farm receive much higher wages than the national average. The resulting coffee is delightfully sweet with notes of caramel and nougat balanced with chocolate finish. Suitable for all brewing methods.
