Another wonderful coffee from the El Oso project. Grown by Cooperativa Agraria Frontera San Ignacio (COOPAFSI) in Cajamarca, these farms sit within the buffer zones of the Santuario Nacional Tabaconas Namballe. This is habitat for the endangered spectacled bear, and the project was created to protect it. Organically grown at altitudes of 1350-1890 metres above sea level and also certified fairtrade, this is our very first Geisha coffee. Geisha (sometimes called Gesha) is a much prized varietal that originated in the Gori Gesha forest in Ethiopia and now thrives in South and Central America. Geisha is famed for it’s exceptionally aromatic citrus and floral notes. In this case notes of jasmine, sweet apple and blood orange. Best suited to cafetiere, filter and aeropress brewing and is best served black.
