A unique microlot from Fazenda Bom Jesus who have a long heritage in coffee production. This is our very first anaerobic processed coffee which means it is fermented without oxygen in steel tanks for 72 hours in order to give a unique flavour profile. Owned by Gabriel and Flavia Lancha Oliveira who are third generation coffee farmers. They have passed on their love of coffee to their sons Lucas and Gabriel Jr. who both work full time on the farm. The family’s objective is to sustainably develop their region from a social and economic perspective. All of the employees on the farm receive specialist training and Flavia ensures that they are all literate and their children attend the local school. Certified by both UTZ and Rainforest Alliance means that this coffee is 100% traceable and is monitored at every stage of the process. This coffee is also directly traded via a family member who lives in England. Consequently, Gabriel and Flavia get a fair price and we, as roasters, get the best possible quality coffee for ourselves and our customers. The resulting brew is very bright and naturally sweet with hints of brown sugar and maple syrup.  Milk chocolate and walnuts are also evident with a subtle hint of pineapple and stone fruit on the finish. This coffee is suitable for all brewing methods.
