Description

A new coffee from the Kachipapa estate, this is the washed version of the Yellow Honey coffee we have stocked previously. Kachipapa is a 350-hectare family run coffee farm that sits an altitude of 1450 metres above sea level. Grown in deep sandy red soil that provides high levels of nutrients and good drainage in order for the coffee plants to thrive. The coffee trees are also intercropped with Macadamia trees to provide natural shade. Kachipapa also takes an active role in trying to improve the life of the staff and local community. They have built 25 new homes for the farm workers and installed a clean water piping system for the community. The farm has also funded the salary of the local school teacher as well as providing medical assistance and malaria prevention to the local communities. As a cup, it is brimming with sweet juicy berry and citrus fruit notes and a delectable floral aroma. Best brewed in a cafetiere, filter or aeropress and served black to accentuate the fruity flavours.
