San Ernesto is a sixth generation family farm run by Brothers Gustavo, Enrique and Rene Urrutia. Their father, who is also called Gustavo, helps them in his role as an advisor giving them the benefit of his experience. In 2012/2013 they lost 80% of their crop to leaf rust and have had to change their farming methods as a result. They plant different varietals on each section of land in order form a planting structure that will help in case leaf rust strikes again. This coffee is a mixture of bourbon and pacas resulting in a sweet smooth cup that is well balanced with hints of vanilla and chocolate. Suitable for all brewing methods and is equally good black or with milk.
