Colombia Huila Excelso

From south-west Colombia, near the town of San Agustin, this new Colombian is bright tasting with a medium body.  Huila is a very fertile area of Colombia where the coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,800m above sea level. The combination of high altitude, a fresh water supply and well-defined wet and dry season make this coffee a superb addition to our current range of Colombians.  Unusually for a Colombian coffee the Huila has a very low acidity and is surprisingly smooth making a rich, nutty and well balanced brew. Overtones of orange and lemon with a hint of a floral finish at the end of the cup. At its best when brewed in a filter or cafetiere, this coffee is also certified Rainforest Alliance.
