Description

Maragogype is a highly prized varietal known for its low acidity and delicous smooth and velvety flavours. It can grow up to 40% larger than most arabica varietals. This maragogype is from the Laguna Verde farm which is part of the Mierisch family estate  (Fincas Mierisch) who have a multitude of well renowned coffee farms in both Nicaragua and Honduras. Laguna Verde has a very unique microclimate which covers the farm in fog for over 60% of the day during the harvest season. This means that the farm 'auto shades' itself and does not require many shade trees. This helps with the slow maturation of the cherries and creates a deliciously smooth and complex coffee which is truly something special. Naturally sweet and smooth with notes of stone fruit and berries this coffee is suitable for all brewing methods.
