A community lot from our partnership with Omwani coffee who import this coffee and help to operate the Migoti Washing Station where it is processed. As is common is African countries this coffee is grown by smallholder farmers who bring their cherries to the Washing Station for processing. The coffee trees are owned by the community who then sell them directly to the washing station where the coffee is dried and prepared for export. All the coffee grown is from a single varietal - Red Bourbon which produces a wonderfully balanced cup. Full of bittersweet chocolate and seville orange notes and a hint of spice on the back end. Suitable for all brewing methods, this is a full bodied and well rounded coffee and is perfect for that first morning cup.
